~Here is my first attempt at canning~

Wishing myself luck!I thought that my stove was really big...after having these on there..I am changing my mind!
I thought that it was going to be a fast thing....uhhhh NO! the prep is the longest. But I had a great time! I am definitely doing this again. Oh my gosh...I am doing it!All finished.
I am a little worried about this one with the big space...I am all paranoid that it is going to explode!!! Dang instructions.

Tomorrow is going to be apple butter if I have enough apples.

I didn't need sugar or anything...I just wish I remembered what apples I used.

Awesome! See it is way eaiser than everyone thinks the best part is that it is so rewarding! AND it always tastes better.

OK 2 myths...
you don't need to turn the cans upside down...(they did that when they used wax..things are much eaiser now....just dont move the jars for 24 hours

2.... just take your apples and cut them into quarters then boil them. yes skins seeds and all.....cut out any worm holes. after boiled put in small amounts into a collender or a seeve, this is the most labor intensive part, then squish the apple sauce through. it will stop the seeds and skins. but give you all of the juice and yummy sauce!

you did great for your first time! a pro already!
apple pie filling is great to make to.... then you just make some crust dump it in... and bake it! its nice to have on hand!

And don't worry about the one with the space as long as the top is sealed. (it doesnt pop when you touch it) it will be fine. sometimes when you boil them the sauce comes out the top....
